I tried federation platforms on Tor but none of them worked as expected without the ssl on Tor. Communication of the instances with the normal internet and Tor using proxy is another hurdle. As a alternative I tried Zeronet
p2p server less platform and made proxies of it to a normal domain and a onion domain. The communication between normal internet and Tor worked perfectly.
Even the normal domain can be hidden by Tor SOCKS. The zites are (not site, for zeronet its zite) served by the people who view your zites or want to serve them personally. There are lot of apps like mail, blog, wiki, etc and you can clone any one of them and start a fresh zite for yourself. A zites can be made from scratch too.
For domain you can buy bit domain or use normal bitcoin address for your zites. You can also have vanity bitcoin address with first few letters representing your name or keywords you like. Further you can serve the zites you want to and remove the other. For large zites like blogs, a download limit can be set so the blog zites refresh itself on this limit only. For eg. if blog zite limit is set to 20M then latest blogs on the zite are updated to 20M and previous blogs are removed.
